I feel it is important to take advantage of this family nature of such a day, for this reason our coverage of Christening includes as many photographs of the extended family as is possible. The following is what we consider to be the best method of covering a Christening.

Two hours prior to the Church services, I will arrive and prepare an area for the child’s formal photographs.

One hour prior to the church service start the formal photographs. These should if all goes well consist of the following;

·         Individuals of the child

·         Mother and Child

·         Mother, Father and Child

·         Whole family group

·         Siblings of the Child.

On arrival at the Church I will take shot of family and friends arriving before the Christening. Normally, if this is a private service and with permission of the priest once the service is over I would advise the following photographs around the font should include;

·         Mother, Father and baby.

·         Mother, Father, baby and Priest.

·         As in 1 but with siblings.

Note. When there is more than one child being christened please seek advice from the Church on what they are prepared to allow directly after the service.

Immediately after the service here I am keen to get as many photographs as possible. These are normally take place outside the Church and would and should consist of some or all of the following;

·         Grandparents.

·         Godparents.

·         3 or more Generations etc.
